Hi! I'm Zythia, I am a Digital Artist who likes to draw cool & cute characters. I've been drawing on the internet since 2016, here you can find all my art, links to my socials and any other things I do. I've been working on making a comic about 'robots, rabbits and magic' called ALL YOUR FRIENDS since 2020! Hopefully coming out soon!

I've always been captivated by the simple idea of being able to share things on the internet. Ever since I was young, the idea that you can just post something online and anyone could see it seemed so magical to me. Over the many years it seems the internet has shifted away from this idea, being less about things people have created / shared and more about noise, buzz and nonsense. The human has been replaced by the corporation, the passion replaced by profit.
I’ve always believed that more important than anything else, is simply creating and sharing your passions. Even if you believe they’re no good, or you don’t have the skill. Making something, anything, even if it’s a bit lumpy and sucks, is always better than nothing. That’s sort of the driving force behind everything I do. This website exists to be a hub for me to share my passions, I guess. And I hope, if anything, it could stand to inspire someone else to do the same.
I like to think I wear my artistic inspirations on my sleeves, I’ve been influenced by so many things over the years. The art of Ken Sugimori and Akira Toriyama left a particular impact on me. As well as the visual identity of Kirby’s Dreamland, and other games by Masahiro Sakurai, the graphic design in his games has always felt so cool to me. I also particularly enjoy the visual designs of Animal Crossing (GCN), The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Kaze no Klonoa, Super Mario Sunshine and the very specific, odd era of Mario spin-off games from 1998-2004, where they utilised photo-realistic environments mixed with normal, cartoony Mario elements and abstract, impressionistic geometry. I am quite fond of 90s-2000s CGI / Silicon Graphics style renders.
I also take inspiration from the world around me, I live in a fairly remote rural town surrounded by mountains, trees, ocean, islands and lakes. No matter where you stand you can almost always see all 5, vibrant and colourful, the mountains covered in trees, framing the view of the ocean on all sides, and the ocean dotted with islands. I feel this also comes across in my art, with my particular love of large green, hilly expanses cradled by mountains and sea, with an overbearing blue sky above. The aesthetics of Summer really spark something in me, but I love the other seasons just as much. The somber quiet of Winter and snow. The vibrant beauty of Spring. And Halloween. That's the entirety of fall to me. I really like Halloween.
This has been long and rambly, but I felt like writing it. I hope you enjoy some of my art, and I hope you make something, too. A website, a drawing, a game, music, anything. The most human thing, over the course of 2.8 million years, has always been earnest creation. Just make something true to yourself, and don’t concern yourself with cynicism or irony. Don’t make it for others, or for success, but simply because you have to create, you have to share. Make it fully, indulgently and purely for yourself, and improve only for your own sake, and not for others. That's how I operate.
I’ve been working on a webcomic called ALL YOUR FRIENDS since 2020. It’s not out yet, progress is slow. But I’m super passionate about it, and I'm very excited for when it comes out. I’m just not sure if it’s ready, call it anxiety, I guess, I just want to be fully confident about it before it starts coming out. But I hope when it does you’ll think it’s neat.
On the side bar you’ll find links to some other websites. ‘The Web’ of The World Wide Web has considerably weakened over time. Sites try desperately to keep you from leaving at all costs, but that’s against the point of the internet. No page should be a dead end, you should always be able to click a link and find something new and fun. Every website should link to another, that is ‘The Web’.
